Please
read the study documentation of effects of Mercury on IQ and the economic cost
to our country .... many billions of dollars in less productivity, so and so
on. Many articles asthma and children, but nothing as definitive as a
single preventive cause as Mercury on children, but it is their in tons of
articles.
I
will not be able to go to the meeting but the best and most emotional (issues
that will elicit motivation) to help our cause I think will be what Montana's cherish the most:
1.
Clean water and air.
2.
Health and future of their families, children and grandchildren.
3.
Use of public monies .... city going outside of public trust with this project
(aka wasting money beyond written law and without consent of the public)
Only
public ... mass public education, beyond close confines will give political
capital to stop this state/co-op business plan and be able to provide area
population with the information beyond the myopic "Jobs are
good". "Jobs are good" but at what price and why the risk
and how is the public being severed with public money ....
In
my old community in Michigan this
would not be tolerated if purposed and or be put to local referendum as a check
to powers with interest. I know Great Falls is just like any other
community only getting the information "out" to them beyond what the
city, unions or other organization would want for the community to know.
If they don't serve the community/public interest then the voters need the opportunity
to change the representives .
Good
luck at the meeting and after 12/16 I would love to see if we could organize a
canvassing campain for Great Falls.
Sincerely,
Charlie Christensen, MD Pediatrician
