In a few short years, all of the futuristic environmental disaster movies will be reality.  Co2 will be the demise of our glaciers and polar ice caps!  No longer will we be the bread basket of the world but visually resemble a third world country.

   

If this coal plant is such a good idea, why is there such a concerted effort to stop opponents from having their say?   First, they took away our right to vote.  Were they worried we might vote NO.  Then they decided to create a district that only 4 Urquarts live in.  It is ridiculous that only residents who live within the acres proposed for rezoning are legally entitled to submit protests.  That’s the same thing as asking SME if they want the Urquart property rezoned for SME!  Who does our county attorney represent?

 

We are in a 30-day protest period.  If you are one of the ones who are opposed to the coal plant, but haven’t let the commissions know your thoughts yet, now is your last chance.  Hopefully the commissioners will recognize the opposition to this coal plant when they see the sheer number of protests submitted.

 

Go to www.cce-mt.org   Petition to repeal rezoning:  Protest letter.htm and Protest petition.htm  and send to either: Property Owners Against HGS, 615 3rd Ave North, Great Falls, MT 59401 or directly to the county commission office at 325 2nd Ave North, Great Falls, MT 59401. This must be done by March 3, 2008 at 5:00 PM.
