The City’s lawyer…er…SME’s lawyer, uh, well, Luxan & Murfitt wrote in response to City Commissioner Mary Jolley’s request for information about the “new scenario” for financing outlined by John Lawton in his last memo about the coal plant.
Guess what? It’s top secret:
Can someone help me out here? When did the City, as an owner of SME, agree that SME’s management could start negotiating financing deals that can’t even be disclosed to SME’s owners? Was there a vote on that? Did the City Commission go along with that?
I’ll tell you what, folks, it’s worse than it smells. Raise your hand if you think anybody, anybody here is operating like they are using the public trust of our City’s 55,000 residents.
