executive at PPL Corp. to retire
ALLENTOWN,
Pa. (AP) Ñ John Biggar, executive vice president and chief financial officer of
PPL Corp., will retire April 1, the company announced Monday.
Biggar
will be succeeded in both roles by Paul A. Farr, a senior vice president who
has been with PPL since 1998.
Farr,
39, has been responsible for the company's accounting, tax, treasury and
business planning functions since 2005.
Biggar,
62, served as an executive vice president of PPL Corp. and a member of its
board of directors since 2001.
PPL Montana, the company's Montana subsidiary, owns and operates 11 hydroelectric dams and is part owner and operator of four coal-fired power plants in Colstrip and one coal-fired plant in Billings.
