A Tribute to Doc Baker

As long as I can remember he (Doctor Baker) devoted his energies to encouraging youth to meet their potential and to find the world a wonderful and exciting place.I will always remember how he did that for me as a 15 year old and how generous he was with all the resources at his disposal. Recently he has been doing that for my 15 year old and she has grown in so many ways under his mentorship. He would say (with great glee)"Now that's stretching her!" His love and excitement for life was certainly contagious.

It has been with great admiration that we have seen him struggle through his illness and never losing that zest and wonder in life. As we were thinking of him and praying the other night we actually started laughing through the tears as we imagined him organizing the young angels in heaven for science fair projects!
